Volunteers and Donors

Social Service School was started in the premises of St. Xavier’s School in the year 1975 with an objective to provide education to the poor children who belong to the economically weaker section of the society. Social Service School is running on the support of the school management. The students of St. Xavier’s also contribute to this charity work by organising funds through their fee, school fete etc. Sometime, the students of the senior section provide their volunteer services to motivate these children by organising competitions for sports, painting, music, quiz (QUIZZES) etc.

The students of St. Xavier’s (English Medium) donate their old sweaters, dresses etc for these poor children. Also, the teachers provide needy children with books, note books, stationery items and other necessary items and contribute significantly to their development.

Besides, the St. Xavier’s family, people from the school’s Alumni Association (BOXA) also provide donations for the students of Social Service School.

Every year Dr. Nivedita sponsors the text books, note books and other stationeries of the students who secures first and second position in the examination of Std Prep to Std VI.

ONGC provides donations to fulfil the requirements of the needy students of Social Service School.

Such donations and the volunteer services encourage and motivate these economically weak children towards being disciplined, be a part of healthy competition and work with diligence.
