At Xavier’s, Strong Truths Well Lived is more than a motto
St. Xavier’s School, Bokaro Steel City is a transformational place. The programs and activities of the school are structured to facilitate the students'physical, mental, spiritual, and emotional well-being and the development of their social and interpersonal skills. The school ensures that students enjoy their academic pursuits in a happy and congenial atmosphere. The teaching techniques are sophisticated, the Lesson Plans engaging, and the ambiance of the school salubrious.
Jesuit education offered here helps students realize that talents are gifts to be developed, not merely for selfsatisfaction or self-gain, but for the human community's good. Students are encouraged to use their gifts in the service of others, out of a love for God. Students learn to become sensitive and compassionate towards the less privileged sections of society and go out in the world as agents of social change. This means that values, ethics, and a commitment to justice matter here and we prepare students not just for professional success, but also to live and lead with purpose.
Located in the heart of Bokaro Steel City, St. Xavier’s School was founded in the year 1966 by the local unit of the Society of Jesus, popularly known as the “Jesuits.” It is a Catholic-Christian Minority school affiliated with Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE). The pupils of this institution call themselves Xavierians. We are part of the oldest, continuous education system in the history of the world, and we are the only Jesuit School in Bokaro Steel City.
