It is a representative body of the senior students of the school. that helps them to interact with the management of the School. It brings to the attention of the school authorities important concerns of the students. The school authorities consult the students council from time to time and receive their feedback and suggestions. It organizes a number of events which form an essential part of education in leadership, team work and organizational skills. The major activities of the Students’ Council are the Annual School Fete (the proceeds of which are given towards charitable purposes), Teachers’ Day Celebrations and the Std. XII farewell.
The activities of the Club are aimed at bringing about greater awareness of scientific discoveries and inventions, and promoting scientific temper in students. It encourages team activities in projects related to Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics.
The speech club for students of the High school, “the Spectrum” lays emphasis on spoken English and improving the personality of its members. Spectrum is divided into eight groups, with the name of each group denoting a colour, reflecting the vibrant, lively look of the spectrum.
The basic aim of the League is to give students a chance to develop sensitivity to others, particularly those less privileged than themselves. The members give their free time for daily activities of service as well as various fund-raising activities. A major part of its collection goes to the Social Service School as well as to some other charities around Bokaro.
This is a quarterly school magazine. The editorial team, consisting of students, encourages creative writing among students. It organizes and edits articles related to the activities of the school, current and interesting topics, interviews, quiz, jokes, puzzles and opinion polls.
Interact is a service club for young adults. It conducts cultural activities for students in the School and takes part in programmes conducted by its sponsoring body, the Rotary Club of Bokaro Steel City. The Club’s activities have a lasting impact on the lives of its student members.
This caters to those pupils who are more keenly interested in developing skills related to specific games and in the organizational and technical know-how in those fields. In addition to participation in the regular games and sporting activities, they also engage in various ways in conducting of such activities and organizing sporting events and tournaments.
The purpose of peace club is to provide students with skills and knowledge on how to effectively resolve conflicts without violence. It seeks to increase kindness, respect, acceptance, and harmony in the student body. Students learn peacemaking and positive leadership skills. The club gets involved in community projects addressing the issues of social justice, conflict and peace.
The Eco-club promotes ecological awareness among students. Through its activities, the club tries to develop awareness about the environment and inculcate nature-friendly attitudes and a sense of responsibility among the students.
This club encourages students to improve their knowledge in the field of economics and finance. It conducts interactive sessions, invites guest speakers and publishes its own quarterly magazine.
This club organizes activities which aims to bring modern technology around the globe closer to the students and give them the opportunity to share their views on technology as well as social and economic uses. This will also enable them to be more comfortable with Information Technology to face the world more confidently. This club also brings awareness within the school of cyber bullying, cybercrimes and related legal issues thereby learning how they must handle the internet critically and use it safely and responsibly.
The purpose of the Press Club is to make people informed about the happenings of the school. The Club promotes teamwork and the art of reporting among the students.
