The mission of the Society of Jesus is a mission rooted in the belief that a new world of justice, love and peace needs educated persons of competence, conscience and compassion, men and women who are ready to embrace and promote all that is fully human, who are committed to working for the freedom and dignity of all peoples, and who are willing to do so in cooperation with others equally dedicated to the reform of society and its structures.

The mission of St. Xavier's, is to give its students, a solid well-rounded formation for life. The school strives to form truly integrated persons of deep faith in God, who will be capable of shouldering responsibilities towards their families, neighbours, country, fellow human beings and the environment.
Intellectual formation includes a growing ability to reason reflectively, logically, and critically. The formation of the balanced person with a personally developed philosophy of life that includes ongoing habits of reflection.
