The school library is part of your school’s teaching and learning environment. We have a library with full-time librarian and other support staff. It has about 27000 books and 25 periodicals.The students can borrow books on a regular basis. The library is available at lunchtime and at the end of the school day for any student who wishes to complete their own work. Our library’s resources, physical space, and staff have tremendous potential to make a difference to students’ achievement, educational equity, and their social and emotional well-being.
St. Xavier's has some of the best school science laboratories in the region and an excellent tradition of students' scientific experimentation under the able guidance of highly competent teachers. The labs are well-equipped with all the facilities required for practical work up to the Plus Two level. Experiments are performed methodically with each student having individual apparatus to carry out the experiments. All the three labs (Physics, Chemistry and Biology) are spacious, properly maintained and well-aired and illuminated.
The school has three computer laboratories with advanced infrastructure in terms of hardware and software which caters to the requirements of the curriculum for the students and teachers. The students begin their computer education in Class I. Classes IX-XII follow the courses as prescribed by the CISCE.
The school campus has three football grounds, two basketball courts, volleyball court, Kho-Kho ground and badminton court as well as the facilities for indoor games. Games and physical education classes are embedded into the curriculum of each class to nurture the sense of team spirit, cooperation, leadership and healthy competition among the students of all age groups.
The school provides for a four-bed infirmary which is well equipped to cater to minor injuries and sickness. This is looked after by a nursing attendant who is available round the clock. In case of emergencies the cases are referred to the hospitals after informing the parents.
